Bleeding Eyes

OMG its worse than watching half my friends AIM chat at the same time! Be back later!

WoW Insider, a website I will occasionally read for funny spins on the game of doom has a podcasty thing. Yay and good never listened before. Big mistake. There's people chatting and rock music with some English guy in the background not to mention the super fast chat on the side bar.

I've been up since around 3am. This should be interesting. My brain may explode so in the mean time I would like to say

HAPPY 100TH POST TO INSPIRATION WITH PLUMS!!!!!

Atmosphere is all you really need

Woot, Friday is upon us and unlike impending disasters like tornadoes and attacks of clumpy noodles Friday is a very nice relaxing day. It is say the type of day to leave my house in the hands of psychotic animals, (who I am sure are plotting to overthrow their human taskmaster at any given point) and peruse a bookstore. Now yes Borders has its glory and immortality but occasionally the prices are a bit too high for me. So off to the used bookstore. There is of course one minor hiccup...Worcester only has 1. Not my favorite place but the lack of selection (and miniscule amount of books they accept for trade in) is so totally made up for by McKitty Fiddles.

Errrr, I actually think his name is Duncan (....possibly....) but in any case he is the top bookstore cat I have ever met. Usually when I'm there he accosts me in the general fiction section where I am usually searching for Murakami books and getting no where. After a fun ten minutes of how many times can I get such a fat cat to jump up for a quick little head butt I headed over to SciFi/Fantasy and was really really happy to get an anthology I have wanted forever. Flights: Extreme Fantasy with tons of great authors like Gaimon, Wolfe, Oates, ect. I also found two other books I wanted by a good author (books 1 and 2 of the Sevenwaters Trilogy) but used my better judgement to save that money and buy lunch.

Ok back to McKitty. Normally he will not follow me over to Fantasy. Today we had kitty bait. Every couple of steps I would crouch down (pretending to look at books so I did not look like a complete nutcase) and tempt him over with some affection and a chin rub. This was quite fun. Sadly someone else walked in and in true cat fashion I was dumped with nothing more than a parting shot of his onion as he rounded the corner going after the man asking about collector edition westerns.

Oh well.

Cat wrangler I am not. At least I have my book.

Wow maybe I should have stayed away

So I have been a bit lax as far as WoW is concerned. By lax of course I mean I pretty much fell off the face of Azeroth. So I logged on about a week ago and remembered I forgot how to play. There was lots of ouches.
Then came Patch 3.08 and Blizzard apparently wants to kill the hunter class. I went from 1175 minimum dps (damage per second) and ended up with about 700 after loading the patch.

Goodbye BeastMaster Kelso

Hello Marksmen/Survivalist Kelso

/happy dance

Lets just say BM is not my preferred spec but I want to do as good a job as I can and for the longest time that was the only spec to do it with. Now, BM= Nub , MM= face-plant, Surv= Hunter God and trap dancing.

Right now I am trying to learn the shot rotations for MM before respecing to Surv when I hit 80 (if I ever get there). It would be so much easier to do that if I still had an ubber nothing-can-kill-me pet to send in and forget it. Squishy bear = lots of me yelling outloud as I try to save him from the Scourge and cats freaking out because the resounding crashes. That aside man is it fun to have to pay attention again. Tomorrow is level Kelso day until night when I have to go out but until then it is level Kelso day, go to library day, clean house day, write more of the novel day....ok maybe there will be a level Kelso hour involved in there somewhere.

Maybe

Hunting Clowns

There is some horribly ridiculous percentage of the world that will be stalked at one point in their life but here is a question that most people do not ask...how many countries are stalked? Well my friends I am Japan's. It has become a very fun pass time to get on Google and go through cities in Japan like Kyoto, Tokyo and especially Osaka at the ground view. It's fun, it's cool, you can find some very out there stuff doing this.

Like a cat I have honed in on Osaka. Why? Oh there is a reason. I am stalking the Osaka clown. Yes this creepy stuff of nightmares animatronic baby brother of Ronald McDonald is my prey. SO far Osaka has not been very forthcoming but I'm patient and really it makes the time pass quickly on the weekend shifts when it really needs to.

Woot, yay for a free day to clean and just relax. Lately there has been far too much going on but with all of my extra ciricular activities I still managed to watch the entireity of the Monty Python box set. That and trying to learn the Happy Song.

(And it has lyrics!)

Demented people.

Stealing isn't bad right?

On another blog I read, *Head desk*, the newest post is about a sort of blog chain letter type thing going around in that writer's circle. Since I've been stuck home nursing my back I have, regrettably little to blog about so I'm stealing it!

/cue genious evil laughter

.....laughter doesn't work if genuis is spelled wrong does it?

Anyways, it's the 6 things that make me happy post! (Yeah yeah cheezy, I know, go away)

1. Corn bags. Pop it in the microwave for a minute and a half and wallah! Snuggly warmth! I used to equate these things to recovery but now I use mine almost every day, mostly to keep my feet warm while I'm writing. Ringing phones, coyote calls, random sneaky cats trying to turn the dryer on, none of this will interrupt my flow but cold feet kills inspiration instantly.

2. Demotivational Posters. So yeah the scenes of spectacular landscapes and uplifting captions are great and all but these are so much better. Whenever I need a pick me up and just browse through the ones saved onto my laptop or just browse photobucket for a bit. The best part is thinking of people I know who fits them perfectly.

3. Sunlight. Ok so this is a bit earthy-crunchy but laying in a patch of sunlight just going all zen is a sure fire way for everything to just be ok. I started this trend when I was a kid. I'd open my porch door and sit in the light reading but sure enough would usually end up asleep. Now I spend time on the floor in my kitchen though lately there's been a bit of a traffic mess with me, Jup, Button and Nanao all fighting for that spot. Yay for roommates that can be easily swayed with treats!

4. Nostalgia. Take for instance the movie "The Nightmare before Christmas". It was and always will be one of my favorite movies. Tops. Hell I even like the songs and musicals make me giggle like some silly little blank blank blank. So finding the video from Amy Lee who covered Sally's Song was like heaven on a bagel that did not go straight to my hips. It's great, it's awesome, she does a great job. Nostalgia...feel the 'awwwww' coming on.

5. Birds. Going outside, especially after it snows when the world is so still and dead silent is kind of like walking in an empty world. What fun is that? But seeing, hearing birds is kind of like a nod that something else is taking up space with me.

6. Tea. Oh yeah, obvious I know but it is my ultimate comfort mechanism. Hard day? Life changing decisions to be made? Stub my toe? Get a dirty look from the mail man? Tea will ease all ills. At first I got into the habit to help me sleep, then I started on the Chai (damn addictive but mmmm mmmm good) I'm still waiting to get off the Chai, now venturing into the world of happy healthy green tea. Sure I may venture off into the unressitable land of Coffeeville but I always come back to the tea. Ultimate happiness is only a cup away. Plus drinking while daydreaming looks so much better than just staring off into space like a moron.

Streaking Time!!!

I am positive that someone, somewhere is doing it. Why am I invoking the gods of all that is naked and holy? I got the internet back.

/does funny internet dance before remembering that moving is not easy right now

I still have no phone, something that is far to touchy a subject. Rising blood pressure is not a good thing so it is time focus on the positives.

I got my internet back!!!

So for giggles I logged onto WoW and got 20 "Kelso!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"'s. After explaining where I have been, (writing, busy, internet-less) I thought 'what the heck, go kill stuff'. Funny, it seems that after a month of no-kill-stuff I forgot how. There was a whole lot of "ummm....opps....feign death".

It was quite sad for about an hour. I am sure that Tab gave me the same look I get every day from Button. The 'you can't possibly be that stupid look of love'! (I also get the look of 'pet me one more time and they won't find your body' but that is a discussion for another time).

Now the countdown to Wednesday begins.

Why you might ask?

Bleach. Gundam 00.

Some people watch their soaps, some crime dramas, others reality tv. Wed is the day that the subbed versions of my favorite shows come out. Gah the wait might kill me! If it doesn't this happy shining angel might....or the library.

/hides from stamp wielding librarian zombies

I only have 11 of their books...

I can give them a good home!
